With the changing of season and the lowering of the overall temperature in the coming days, suddenly exercising the body without adequate stretching may lead to injuries! Be sure to stretch before and after your exercise to avoid stiffness and injuries to the body.
Being an active practitioner of Jiu Jitsu its important for me to get a whole body stretch before and after my practice. There were many times that because I had a flexible body I was able to avoid injury.
A flexible body is just as important as a strong one! If you have any questions regarding stretches or want to have guidance on stretching please don’t hesitate to ask me when I am at the clinic!
The benefits of stretching are almost all pros and very little cons!
