The benefit of Using The Thompson Table, Zenith

Hi, this is Dr. Nobu at Life Force Chiropractic. How is everybody doing in a freezing winter?

Today, I would like to talk about the benefit of using the Thompson Table. Some of you may have experienced receiving chiropractic adjustments by the Thompson Table. The inventor of this table, Dr. Clay Thompson was an engineer before becoming a chiropractor. If you look at the Thompson Table carefully and closely, you will find how complicated and organized the Thompson Table is built.

In my study, Dr. Thompson invented the table from the Toggle Table, which was the 1st chiropractic table in 1957. He applied a dropping system to all of the table pieces so that the chiropractor could adjust a patient with half of adjusting force.

This system allows chiropractors not only to adjust patients easily but also can they easily be adjusted by using patients' weight.

This system also allows us to adjust large patients who are more than 140 pounds.

When I use my hands to adjust patients, I usually use a great amount of force to adjust them. However, I sometimes hurt my wrists by repeated motions. Thompson Table protects my wrists so that I can keep adjusting 30-50 patients in a day.

For those who don't want to hear clicking or popping sounds by adjustments, the Thompson Table is useful because it usually doesn't make sounds. However, Zenith uses an air compressor, so it pops when air goes into the table.

Patients usually lay down on the table with relaxation and receive adjustments with less stress or force. One is at Ginowan clinic, and the other one is at Yomitan clinic. Advantages of Using ZENITH's THOMPSON Tables

Hello, this is Dr. Nobu from Life Force Chiropractic. How is everyone doing in this cold winter?

Today I would like to discuss the benefits of using a Thompson table. Some of you may have had experience getting chiropractic adjustments on the Thompson Table. The inventor of the table, Dr. Clay Thompson, was an engineer before he became a chiropractor. If you look carefully and closely at the Thompson Table, you can see how intricate and orderly it is constructed.

According to my research, Dr. Thompson invented this table in 1957 from the Targle table, which was the first chiropractic table. He applied a drop system to all parts of the table, allowing the chiropractor to adjust the patient with half the adjustment force.

This system allows the chiropractor to easily adjust the patient as well as use the patient's body weight for easy adjustment.

This system also allows for the adjustment of larger patients weighing more than 60 kg.

When I use my hands to adjust a patient, I usually apply considerable force to the adjustment. However, the repetitive motion can injure my wrists. The Thompson table protects my wrists so I can continue to adjust 30-50 patients a day.

Thompson tables are useful for those who do not want to hear ticking or clanking noises when adjusting. Normally, no sound is emitted. However, Zenith uses an air compressor, so you will hear clanking noises when air enters the table.

Patients typically lie on the table relaxed and receive adjustments without stress or force. Life Force Chiropractic Clinic has two Thompson tables, one at our Ginowan clinic and the other at our Yomitan clinic. If you are interested in an adjustment at the table, please contact us!
