It's almost February! And that means my long-awaited 2024 Season Spring Camp for professional baseball has arrived to Okinawa this year!

So, we have great big news this time! Last December, we had a visit from Takuma Uchima, a pitcher of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp! After graduating from Asia University, he was drafted 4th overall by the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 2020 draft, and was later drafted by the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles to my favorite team, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, in the current draft!

The reason he came to our clinic this time is that he was introduced by my friend, Mr. Kai Asato (Kanagawa Future Dreams)!

Takuma Uchima's specialty is a straight ball of 156km/h thrown by a pitcher of his size, and a variety of breaking pitches! He also has a variety of breaking pitches! He is a very attractive pitcher!

He came to our clinic this time and actually received the treatment! This was the first chiropractic treatment for Takuma Uchima, who had never received chiropractic care before. He had never had any problems with his body, but he wanted to increase the range of motion of his hip twisting motion when he pitches! The rest of the treatment was aimed at improving his fatigue from practice and daily activities! After the treatment, he had practice the next day, and when I asked him about the physical changes, he said that before and after the chiropractic treatment, his balance when standing, shoulder and hip rotation movements became easier, and his range of motion increased, making it easier to throw pitches! It was very rewarding for us to see the immediate physical changes!

I was also happy to hear that Takuma Uchima's team, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, will have its spring training camp in Okinawa City from February 15, and he said he would come to the camp as well! He said he would introduce me to other players on the team, so I would like to help other players as well!

I have been working as a chiropractor for a long time, and this was the moment when I was able to fulfill my dream of treating NPB professional baseball players. I was also deeply moved by the fact that it was the first time for me to treat a player from my favorite team, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp.
