Every year in February, the spring training camp for professional baseball is held in Okinawa! Last year there were no spectators, so I am glad that this year there are limited number of spectators, but there will be!
My hobby is watching baseball games, so on my day off from work, I went with a friend to watch the practice of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, last season's number one team in Japan, who were holding their camp in Urasoe!
I thought they were indeed the winning team, as they were the number one team in Japan last season, and there were many spectators, including the champion banner! I thought it was great that the rookies who were in the first team immediately after the draft were college students who graduated from the same college draft class this season.
Personally, I am a fan of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp and their camp has started today in Okinawa City! I hope to go see them a few times on my days off!
