LFC patients brought in some goodies!

Hello everyone, I am Kawamitsu, Director of LFC.

Today, we would like to share with you what we received from a patient who has been coming to our clinic.

Mr. Urasaki came to our hospital because he suffers from ALS, an intractable disease that has become world-famous as a result of the "ice bucket" procedure, in which people are asked to cover their heads with ice water one after another in order to eradicate the disease. This intractable disease causes the motor nerves in the body to weaken and even the muscles to deteriorate.

Ms. Urasaki is still battling her illness on a daily basis. Since communication is difficult, she also performs treatments with the help of a helper who accompanies her and her husband.

Under such circumstances, Mr. Urasaki has become physically disabled, but with the help of his family, he is still active in going to the beach and going outside. Although his opportunities to go out seem to be decreasing these days due to the corona, he never neglects to educate his two children whenever and wherever they come to our clinic.

Today we received "Honey Pound Cake" from Mr. Urasaki. Pictured are two children.
