Today, for the first time this year, I attended the Ginowan City Chamber of Commerce and Industry's New Year's party.
On Friday evening, January 10, a New Year's party was held at the "Natural Hot Springs Aroma" restaurant, but since it was the first time, I did not know anyone there. However, we sat around the table with representatives of companies in the Oyama area, introduced ourselves, and talked about various topics over dinner, and even exchanged business cards with representatives from other areas.
Then I looked around at the attendees and saw three white men. They were colonels attached to the Futenma base and were there as representatives.
I talked with each of the three colonels. One of them, Mr. Steele, was from Tampa, Florida, where I used to live, and we had a good time talking. He seemed to have a very kind personality and I felt that he must be respected by many soldiers. He was very kind and I felt that he must be respected by many soldiers. Here is a picture of Mr. Steele.
